“Dreams and Ambitions” was the theme to last night’s meeting, and what a great theme it was. Opened deftly by Raja Dhanapal and chaired by Margrit Fisher, the meeting was bound to be a success. Our Table Topics session, hosted by Eva Rabanal used the theme and excelled. Phillip Agripanidis did a great wrap up of the first half as general evaluator. Sussana Chan provided us with Club Business where Heidi Heron presented Margrit Fisher with her Distinguished Toastmasters plaque – way to go Margrit Fisher. David Fisher led a fantastic educational on mentoring. Bram Herulah inspired us with a great mini speech. Judy Mugonya ably emceed the prepared speeches. We heard an icebreaker from Susan Nguyen and how her little voice gave courage; Raja Dhanapal spoke about the different communication styles, and; Heidi Heron gave a thought provoking speech on what are we here for? The meeting closed on a high with an address from our new Area 24 Director Phillip Agripanidis who was present as an official guest. Also along as a visiting Toastmaster was Diane Law. An action packed night with lots of laughter. I can’t wait for the next one.
