Love your life was the theme at our meeting and there most certainly was a ‘euphoric’ love of life. Due to plenty of absentees at this meeting, we ran on a reduced number of Toastmasters, with many doing extra roles. A quick agenda change by our illustrious chairman, Donald Zhang had Robin Huang doing the open and recall, with Carlos Garcia volunteering for the Table Topics Master. Well done to both of you for stepping in.
Damien Lake was our grammarian and saluted the theme. New member Kristen Pennington read the mission statement and our core values. Ramesh Shanmugam was the timer and Rati Jain led us with the Toast. Robin Huang backed up his Sergeant at Arms role as a Table Topics Evaluator along with Michael Fatouris. Aaron Ross wrapped up the first half as General Evaluator.
Robin Huang opened the second half and we got straight into the prepared speeches. Rati Jain was busy as our Toastmaster, with Ricardo De Oliveira, Victor Siyu Hou, Carlos Garcia and Sammy Rehim presenting speeches. These in turn were evaluated by Robin Huang, Aaron Ross, Michael Fatouris and Victor Siyu Hou
Ricardo De Oliveira asked questions as our listening post, Damien Lake reported on the word of the day, Aaron Ross spoke of how to avoid ums and ahs and Ramesh Shanmugam gave a timers report. Sammy Rehim delivered an excellent general evaluation for the second half. All in all a great meeting, with some guests and visiting Toastmasters padding out the numbers
