24th July was another great meeting for Sydney Speakers Toastmasters. Our word of he day was desideratum and it certainly lived up to that! MJ was the Chairman of the meeting for the first time and did a very good job. There were an eclectic mix of Table Topics questions by Carlos Garcia, an ‘Intertwined Icebreaker’ speech by Caitlin Manoharan, a speech on emotional intelligence by Sammy Rehim, Phillip Agripanidis did a humorous ‘I made an oopsie’ speech and Aaron Ross teamed with Eva Rabanal for a speech on sell, sell sell. The meeting also saw the induction of our newest member, Damien Lake. Club President Sussana Chan recognised outgong Area 24 Director Aaron Ross with an award. Well done to all members and I can’t wait for the next meeting on 14th August.
