International Speech and Evaluation Contest 2020

The night for our International Speech and Evaluation Contest was on Wednesday 12th February, and what a great night it promised to be. The meeting was opened by Rati Jain, who handed the meeting to our contest chair, Margrit Fisher . Ramesh Shanmugam read out the Club Mission and Mario Salas provided the Toast. We then got stuck into the action of the International Speech Contest.
Phillip Agripanidis was the Chief Judge for the evening in his role as the Area 24 Director. MJ Velasco was the Toastmaster. First speaker was Aaron Ross with an emotional speech, followed by Heidi Heron with an impressive persuasive speech and the third speaker was Carlos Garcia with an informative speech on marriage. Heidi Heron was first place, Aaron Ross second and Carlos Garcia third

Rati Jain called the meeting back from break and we went into the Evaluation Contest. George Pajmakoski was our Toastmaster while Anna Corpuz was the test speaker. The first contestant was Sussana Chan followed by Heidi Heron and Aaron Ross. Sergeants at arms were Rati Jain and Ramesh Shanmugam and timers were Ricardo Nilton and Mario Salas. Heidi Heron came first, Aaron Ross second and Sussana Chan third. Many thanks to all of our anonymous judges, your assistance on the night was greatly appreciated.
