From the incoming Vice President Public Relations, David:
It was a great night last night at Sydney Speakers for our Changeover Dinner & Meeting. Wonderful having both our Lachlan Division Director Mitsie and Area 24 Director Dave at our meeting. Both inspired us and gave us direction, and most humble with it. It is wonderful to have such dedicated Division & Area Directors to support us! It’s going to be a fantastic year.
We have now been inducted into the new year and it has started with a bang! Some very thought-provoking Table Topics from Aaron, a wonderful speech from Belinda about the committee in our heads and from Aaron on the Larson C Glacier come Iceberg, a Toast to change from Michael Fatouris and a lot of fun!
Judy tested our listening with rewards of snickers bars (bring them on!) and Taban explained what to do for ums & errs. Great addresses from incoming President Margrit, Mitsie and Dave, wrapped up with constructive feedback from Victor and Sammy for Table Topics and Phillip and Mitsie for our speeches, as well as Dave as Master Evaluator.
Rachel emceed the speeches as only Rachel could do and Iqbal provided us with some fitting humour to bring us back after the main course.
An enjoyable meal had by one and all and wonderful fellowship between segments. I vote we do it again next year!
