Meeting #170 was held on Wednesday 8 April and our theme was “if you think you can, you can”. The meeting was opened expertly by Caitlin Manoharan with Sussana Chan as our Chairman for the night. Victor Hou read the Club Mission, Margrit Fisher led the salute and introductions, while Bella Wang produced a magnificent toast and Eugene Vass entertained us with a funny short story.
Mike Fatouris kept us on our toes as the Table Topics Master and our responses were evaluated by Heidi Heron. David Fisher delivered a general evaluation while Sussana Chan was kept busy delivering our Club Business.
The second half was quickly started by Caitlin Manoharan. This was followed by Sammy Rehim as Toastmaster. Phillip Agripanidis roasted Chuck Norris, MJ Velasco delivered an informative speech and Aaron Ross did a Q & A session as a CEO. These were evaluated by David Fisher, Donald Zhang and Victor Hou.
Carlos Garcia provided the Grammarian report, with the word of the day, Salubrious.Caitlin Manoharan was also the timer for the evening. Margrit Fisher provided an in-depth general evaluation for the second half of the meeting, before we all gave our final impressions on our second zoom meeting
